This is now the authentication system for logging into mySocialSecurity and the IRS.\\
It is a third-party company handling persons with foreign addresses.\\
[[http://Login.gov|Login.gov]] handles USA residents.

As of 15 Apr I am no longer allowed to login to [[http://ssa.gov|ssa.gov]] with username and password, but am directed to [[http://ID.me|ID.me]].

As of 22 May, I discovered I can also login to my IRS account after logging into [[http://ID.me|ID.me]]. I did not even know I had an IRS account.

To verify identity, you need:\\
  * SSN
  * two of the following:
    * passport
    * national id card
      * govt-issued id with photo (driver license?)
      * secondary:
        * utility bill
        * bank statement
    * proof of non-US-addr
      * lease
